Chances are, if you were in the Lower Mainland or on Vancouver Island last night, you felt the 4.3 magnitude earthquake that shook beds at around 11:40pm. The epicentre was twenty-odd kilometres northeast of Victoria, right under the Strait of Georgia. Although the quake was a relatively modest one, it has sparked renewed calls for preparation for larger earthquakes.
