For anyone who loves entertaining, these features are great to have:
- A large, welcoming entrance – You need a pleasant space in which to greet your guests and for them to take off clothes (and shoes).
- Plenty of seating areas – You don’t want your guests perched or leaning awkwardly.
- Friendly lighting – Strike the balance between blinding people and them being unable to see.
- Powder room – Having a powder room is convenient for your guests’ comfort and means they won’t be traipsing through your master bathroom.
